WIN 2020 AASLH AWARD OF EXCELLENCE
NASHVILLE, TN—June 2020—The American Association for State and Local History (AASLH) proudly announces that Boise residents, Mary Ann Arnold and Dr. Janet E. Worthington, are the recipients of an Award of Excellence for the Foote Park Interpretive Center.
The AASLH Leadership in History Awards, now in its 75th year, is the most prestigious recognition for achievement in the preservation and interpretation of state and local history. This year, AASLH is proud to confer an award to Foote Park, one of 57 national awards honoring people, projects, exhibits, and publications. AASLH is a not-for-profit professional organization of individuals and institutions dedicated to preserving and promoting history and helping to make the past more meaningful to all people. In addition, AASLH provides publications, annual meetings, and training across the historical community.

Foote Park Interpretive Project recognized at the 42nd Annual Orchids & Onions Awards

Boise, Idaho – May 8, 2019 – Preservation Idaho honored leading preservationists with Orchid awards at its 42nd Annual Orchids & Onions Awards ceremony held Saturday, June 8th at 2:30 PM at the Historic 1912 Center in Moscow, Idaho.

Cultural Heritage Preservation awards will honor the Foote Park Interpretive Project in Boise for bringing historical value of the site to life with a creative and engaging space.
